Research progress of BOLD functional MRI for chronic low back pain

Abstract：Chronic low back pain(CLBP)is one of the leading disabling conditions worldwide.An increasing number of studies have identified several key brain regions that play a crucial role in the onset and progression of CLBP.Blood oxygen levels-dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging(BOLD-fMRI)is a non-invasive imaging technique used to study neuronal activity in various brain regions.It plays an important role in exploring the relationship between changes in brain function and the development of diseases.This article reviews the latest research progress on BOLD-fMRI in understanding the pathogenesis and evaluating different treatments for CLBP.
