Research progress on magnetic resonance imaging in sentinel lymph nodes of breast cancer

Abstract：A noninvasive and accurate method for the assessment of sentinel lymph node status in breast cancer would be crucial in avoiding unnecessary surgery and selecting the optimal therapy.Various MRI techniques can provide valuable information for preoperative assessment of sentinel lymph node status in breast cancer,such as diffusion weighted imaging(DWI)and dynamic contrast enhanced MRI(DCE-MRI).This article reviews the progress of MRI in evaluating sen-tinel lymph node status in breast cancer.
