Abstract:After acute myocardial infarction(AMI),inflammatory reactions, microcirculation changes, and reactive fibrosis may occur in the neglected remote myocardium.Cardiovascular magnetic resonance(CMR)imaging, which can provide multiparametric information and help to guide the stratified management of patients with AMI,is currently the best imaging method for evaluating the pathophysiological alterations of remote myocardium in vivo.It has important implications for treatment and prognosis. This article introduces the common CMR techniques and their principles utilized in myocardial evaluation, and reviews the research progress of CMR in assessing remote myocardium and its prognostic value.
