Imaging research on the anterolateral ligament of the knee

Abstract：As a anterolateral structure of the knee, the anterolateral ligament(ALL)plays an important role in maintaining the stability of the knee and limiting internal and pivot shift of the tibia. Well understanding of anatomical features of the ALL would help guiding the clinical assessment and provide a basis of repairation and reconstruction after injury. The article summarizes radiological literatures and reviews recently researches concerning progress of imaging methods,MR sequences,visualization on MRI,radiological parameters,correlation with"Segond"fracture of the ALL.
