Progress of multiparametric MRI in prostate carcinoma

Abstract:Prostate carcinoma is a common malignant tumor that threatens the health of men. There are many methods for the detection of prostate carcinoma, such as prostate specific antigen, digital examination, transrectal ultrasound guided biopsy, and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).Due to high soft tissue resolution, multiplanar and multisequences imaging, MRI is currently recognized as the best imaging method for noninvasive examination of prostate disease, especially multiparametric MRI(mp-MRI),including T2WI,DWI and MRS,which is a hot topic in the current research. This paper reviews the progress of mp-MRI of the prostate.
