Abstract:The majority of patients with end-stage renal disease rely on blood dialysis. The prerequisite of hemodialy-sis is to establish a proper vascular access, and the problem of dialysis treatment is the success rate of vascular access and further complications. In clinical contexts, physical examination and imaging techniques(ultrasound,CT,DSA,and MRI)are usually used to monitor and assess vascular fistula. In this review,we demonstrated the value of imaging techniques in assess-ing vascular access in patients with end-stage renal disease,so as to help clinicians to accurately evaluate the status of vas-cular access, and to guide the clinical diagnosis and treatment.
