Abstract:The severity of endometrial cancer(EC)depends on the infiltration extent, histological type and differenti-ation degree of the tumor, and it is very important to accurately evaluate the above factors to design the treatment plan and es-timate the prognosis. With high resolution, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)can clearly shown the anatomical relationship of EC with myometrium, cervix and adjacent tissues of the uterus. Therefore it can accurately evaluate infiltration extent of EC.Meanwhile,diffusion-weighted imaging can be used to estimate the histological type and cellular differentiation degree of tumor to some extent. So,MRI has become the most common method to evaluate the severity of EC.Compared with biopsy,MRI can be used to observe the overall condition of the endometrium, and it is more likely to detect a small foci lesion, which is usually false negative with biopsy. In this paper,we reviewed the progress of multiple sequence MRI in the detection EC and evaluation the infiltration extent, histological type and cellular differentiation degree of the EC.
