Abstract:Myelodys plastic syndromes (MDS) are a group of bone marrow diseases characterized by ineffective hematopoiesis and a high risk of developing acute myleloid leukaemia (AML). Patients will face many problems such as in-creased difficulties in treatments and worse prognosis when MDS developing AML. Therefore, it is important to discover the signs and to predict the AML conversion from MDS.MRI is a non-invasive technology and can delineate the detailed structure of bone marrow. It can be used to assist the diagnosis and assessment of MDS and to predict the risk of AML conversion. This review mainly focuses on the advances of MR imaging of MDS.
