Abstract:Scalp occupying lesions include primary tumors, scalp damage secondary to cranial or intracranial dis-eases, and even distant metastases caused by certain malignancies.Imaging examinations are important preoperative exami-nation means for scalp occupying lesions. It is of great significance to formulate follow-up treatment strategies, select surgical methods and determine the scope of the operation. In clinical setting, CT and MRI are commonly used in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of scalp occupying lesions. In this paper we summarized the clinical characteristics and imaging features of some common scalp lesions, and the main points of differential diagnosis between benign and malignant lesions of the scalp in order to provide the basis for accurate diagnosis, lesion localization, and extent of involvement.
