The advanced application of magnetic resonance elastography in prostate disease
ZHANG Tianhui
Abstract:The elasticity (or stiffness) of soft tissue is closely related to pathological process.Magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) is an advanced MR imaging technique which can be used to evaluate the biomechanical properties of tissues noninvasively. It can quantitatively measure the elasticity of soft tissue and provide an objective evidence for the detection and diagnosis of prostate disease. In recent years, the application of MRE in prostate diseases has become a research hotspot. In this review,we mainly described the principles of MRE and the application progress in prostate diseases.
