Abstract:Objective To investigate the image features and differentiation of sclerosing angiomatoid nodular transformation (SANT) of spleen. Methods MR images and clinic pathological data of a case with SANT of spleen were analyzed and the literatures were reviewed. Results There was a solitary tumor with a well margin in the lower pole of spleen. The lesion was iso-intense on T1WI, heterogeneous hypo-intense on fat-suppressed T2WI and hypo-intense on DWI. On dynamic enhanced scanning, the lesion showed concentric and progressive enhancement and slightly hyper-intensity signal with centric lower signal in a radial pattern on delayed enhanced scanning. SANT was confirmed by surgical pathology. Conclusions SANT of spleen has certain MRI characteristics, which would be helpful for the diagnosis and differentiation.
