Abstract:As one of the most important molecular imaging means, PET/CT is widely used in the cancer precision radiotherapy. For radiotherapy planning and assessing efficacy, PET/CT usually requires imaging quality beyond what is required for diagnostic purpose. With the increasing application of PET/CT in radiotherapy, target definition and biologically conformal radiotherapy based on PET/CT molecular imaging-assessed lung tumor heterogeneity have been preliminarily used, which can not only improve the accuracy of radiotherapy, but also reduce the radiation-induced injuries. The Application progress of PET/CT new technology in lung cancer radiotherapy was reviewed in this paper.
