Abstract:Obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome is a kind of clinical syndrome during sleep, leading to hypercapnia and chronic intermittent hypoxemia. The damage of hypoxemia to the central nervous system is particularly prominent. With the application of magnetic resonance imaging to the central nervous system diseases, routine MRI combined functional MRI can be used to analyze the structure of brain from volume and shape of white and gray matter, and to evaluate the regional functions of brain from metabolism, fiber bundle, information processing and so on. Here we made a review of the progress of MRI in obstructive sleep apnea-hypepnea syndrome.
