Research status and prospect of MR Gd target contrast agent

Abstract：Specific MR (magnetic resonance) targeted contrast agents by combining to the specific target in vivo can provide molecular level information for clinic. For constructing great molecular probe, the key is to select a specific carrier targeting specific target molecule and great MR contrast agent. As a common MR contrast agent in clinical situation, Gd has many advantages in the construction of molecular probe. A lot of experimental studies in MR molecular imaging field have been reported. By introducing the perspective of target molecule and carrier used commonly in current research, the status and prospect of MR Gd target contrast agent were reviewed in this paper.
