Abstract:18F-fluorodeoxyglucose ( FDG ) PET/CT is a new imaging technology , which can provide CT anatomy structure image, PET functional and metabolic image, and the two-fusion image in a single session. It realizes the qualitative and location analysis of tumor tissues in vivo. Now it plays an important role in the field of tumor imaging, and is more and more widely applied. In this paper, the following aspects were reviewed, which contains the 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging principle, the application in the preoperative diagnosis of colorectal cancer, the evaluation of postoperative recurrence of colorectal cancer (including the diagnosis of local recurrence and the diagnosis of distant metastasis), and the diagnostic value of 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging in the patients with elevated serum tumor markers.
