Magnetic resonance imaging of the postoperative meniscus after repair

Abstract：Meniscal repair can reach the fullest potential to repair the torn meniscus and to retain its important physiological functions. At present, MRI is the most reliable non-invasive imaging modality in evaluating the healing of postoperative meniscus. We conducted the review of the literatures about the imaging of postoperative meniscus after repair in recent 10 years. The structure of the meniscus, meniscus repair, the MR imaging protocols and the findings of MR were discussed to improve the understanding of the postoperative magnetic resonance imaging findings during meniscal healing process.
