Study progress of magnetic resonance elastography for evaluation of liver fibrosis
LI Guohong
Abstract:A precise estimation of the degree of liver fibrosis is important for the prediction of prognosis, surveillance, and treatment decision in patients with chronic liver disease. The current clinical standard of reference for assessing hepatic fibrosis is liver biopsy, but constrained by its inherent limitations, non-invasive methods have been respected. MRI as a noninvasive technique has multi-faceted, multi-parameter imaging characteristics, which has particularly advantages in the diagnosis and evaluation of liver diseases. Especially in recent years, the rapid development of magnetic resonance elastography, it have made significant progress in diagnosis and evaluation of hepatic fibrosis.
