Abstract:In recent years, noncontrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography (NCE-MRA) technique has been developed rapidly in both hardware and software. In addition to the classical methods, such as time of flight ( TOF) and phase contrast (PC), many new methods have been applied in whole-body angiography. NCE-MRA includes flow-depended and flow-independent techniques. These techniques are combined used with multiple MR scan sequences. We summarized the imaging mechanisms, advantages and limitations, and clinical applications of NCE-MRA methods to promote development and application of these techniques.
