Abstract:The incidence rate and death rate of malignant tumor are continuously increasing in the world. Early diagnosis is critical for patient prognosis and treatment options. Positron emission tomography (PET) technique has been widely used in the tumor evaluation, and single tracer PET imaging is the most commonly used inspection method. However, each positron tracer reflects specific information in the cell, which can easily lead to a false negative or false positive diagnosis. Therefore, a reasonable binding of multiple tracers is needed to improve the accuracy of PET in tumor diagnosis. In this article we reviewed the multi-tracer PET technology in tumor diagnosis application.
