Abstract:The imaging diagnosis of children’s lung disease was relied heavily on X-ray and CT in the past, but with the more attention on children’s ionizing radiation, non-invasive method is urgent needed. In recent years, due to the appropriate use of sedative and fully prepared before examination, rapid scanning, respiratory triggering, spirometer control, electrocardiography gating, nonenhanced and contrast-enhanced MR angiography, O2-enhanced imaging, and hyperpolarized gas imaging allow MRI to be used in evaluating many pediatric thoracic diseases. The purpose of this review was to introduce proper MRI techniques and MRI features of children’s pulmonary diseases, and to facilitate early and accurate diagnosis and treatment.
