Abstract:MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play a regulatory role in early embryonic development and implantation. Abnormal expression of miRNAs may result inabnormal embryonic development and implantation failure by inducing the excessive apoptosis of trophoblasts, abnormal placental angiogenesis, inhibition of endometrial decidualization and maternal-fetal interface immune response. Moreover, the polymorphism of miRNAs leads to the embryo loss by inhibiting the proliferation of trophoblast cells and promoting apoptosis. In this article, the influence of miRNAs on early embryonic development and implantation was reviewed.
