Abstract:Deep aggressive angiomyxoma(DAA)is a soft tissue tumor with local invasion without metastasis. It is most common in women of childbearing age.The etiology is unknown and early diagnosis is difficult. This paper reports the diagnosis and treatment of a rare elderly female patient with DAA.The patient was admitted to the hospital due to pelvic tumor found for over 4 years and intermittent pain in the left lower abdomen for 1 year and received color ultrasound in the outpatient department indicating pelvic tumor.Considering the patient's advanced age,ultrasound-guided puncture biopsy was performed after admission, and the puncture pathology revealed spindle cell sarcoma.Due to limited biopsy tissue, transabdominal pelvic mass resection was performed.Postoperative pathological findings showed DAA.At present, the patient is still in close follow-up and her condition is stable. This study retrospectively analyzed the clinical characteristics and diagnosis and treatment process of the case,in order to improve clinical understanding of the disease.
