Abstract:Endometrial and ovarian carcinomas are malignant neoplasms in the female reproductive system. Estrogen has been proved as an epidemic factor throughout gynecological carcinoma. Recently, it has been found that G-protein-coupled receptor 30 (GPR30) mediates cell proliferation and survival through nongenomic effects in hypo-exposure of estrogen. Moreover, the role of tumor associated fibroblasts in carcinoma has frequently been taken into account. We review and reveal the role of GPR30 in the regulation of endometrial and ovarian carcinomas in order to provide new molecular target therapy.
