Breeding is part of the solution to challenges

Abstract：Animal production can provide humans with high-quality protein and essential nutrients, and make use of land that cannot be used for producing other foods. However, it also brings some problems, such as the consumption of land, water, and energy, destruction and pollution of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, contributing to deforestation, and emitting greenhouse gases. Breeding is an essential part of addressing challenges in animal production because breeding can provide animals with genes suitable for future production systems.
