Abstract:FCM,SSR,SRAP and CAPS were employed to characterize the nuclear and cytoplasmic components of two inter-specific somatic hybrid plants obtained by symmetric fusion. The results showed that in Dancy tangerine (Citrus reticulata)+ sweet orange (C. sinensis Osbeck cv. Hongjiangcheng) inter-specific combination, one of two analyzed plants was diploid asymmetric somatic hybrid, which inherited nuclear DNA from some of both parents and cytoplasmic composition from sweet orange (leaf parent);the another one was tetraploid heterokaryonic somatic hybrid, which inherited nuclear DNA from both parents and cytoplasmic composition from sweet orange (leaf parent),and recombination of nuclear DNA occurred in the two plants.
