Abstract:Effects of 1/4 root-zone applied different ratio of organic manure on growth of shoot and root of 2-year-old young apple trees split-root planted in the organic glass box were studied. The results indicated that shoots of apple trees grown in 10% organic manure acquired excessive secondary growth after mid-June;spring shoots of 20% organic manure treatment were longer, and acquired significant greater number and proportion of nodes, bigger leaf area and specific leaf weight than those of 10% and 30% treatments, However, longer autumn shoots, greater number of nodes, bigger leaf area and specific leaf weight have been found on 10% organic manure treated trees when compared with 20% organic manure;Types of shoots were controlled by different amount of organic manure. Proportions of long branch of 10% and 30% treatments were 22.2% and 25.0%,while proportion of long branch of 20% treatment was only 11.8%;Total root length of 20% organic manure treatment was longer than 10% and 30% treatments significantly except in June. It could be concluded that sandy soil localized fertilized with adequate amount of organic manure can control the growth of shoots and roots. The result will be helpful in understanding the soil localized meliorating and nutrition concentrated supplying.
