Occurrence and research progress of fruit tree viroid diseases in China

Abstract：This paper has briefly reviewed the research progress on five fruit tree viroids reported in China. The viroids are ASSVd causing scar skin disease on apple, PBCVd causing blister canker on pear,GYSVd-1 causing yellow speckle on grapevine, CEVd causing exocortis on citrus and PLMVd causing latent mosaic on peach. It includes the discovery and symptoms of these viroid diseases in China, biochemical and molecular properties, occurrence and detection techniques of these viroids.
