Abstract：Based on the genetics of fruit sport,and the principles and the problems of using RAPD marker,the possibility of using RAPD marker for identification of fruit sports were discussed.The sports from polyploid and DNA methylation can not be identified by RAPD.Theoretically,the sports from the change of chromosome structure,gene mutation,transposons and retrotransposons can be identified.However,for identification of the sports from monoploid and aneuploid,there are different situations.Some recommendations were also presented accordingly.
