Abstract：Based on the brief introduction of the ohgin,distribution and the collection and conservation of the germplasm resources of apricot,mainly on the variety classification,pollination biology,evaluation of palynology and molecular biology,the genetic and variation characters of hybrid progeny,breeding objectives and technique were reviewed.Some research programmes needed to be studied in this field in the future were suggested.
