Advances in the diagnosis and treatment of invasive stratified mucin-producing carcinoma of the cervix

Abstract:Invasive stratified mucin-producing carcinoma(ISMC)of the cervix is a rare pathological type of cervical adenocarcinoma.Due to its recent recognition and low incidence,clinicians have limited knowledge about it,leading to a high risk of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis.In recent years,case reports on this rare cervical adenocarcinoma have gradually increased,and academic understanding,particularly of its pathological features,has deepened.However,research on its clinical manifestations,diagnosis and treatment remains scarce.This article reviews the research progress regarding the etiology,risk factors,histopathological features,clinical symptoms,diagnosis and differential diagnosis,treatment,prognosis and influencing factors of cervical ISMC,aiming to provide a reference for its clinical diagnosis and treatment.
