Research progress on the application of moist wound dressings in chronic wounds

Abstract：Chronic wounds significantly impair patients'quality of life and health status,making timely and effective management and treatment crucial.Treatment strategies for chronic wounds usually cover various methods,such as surgical debridement,anti-infection therapy,and wound dressing changes.At present,innovative moist wound dressings based on moist wound healing theory have progressively replaced traditional dressings.Clinically applied moist dressings include hydrogels,foam dressings,silver-containing dressings,growth factor-incorporated dressings,chitosan-based dressings,and mesenchymal stem cell-embedded dressings.These advanced dressings demonstrate multifunctional properties,such as infection control,toxin removal,bioactive factor release,and pain alleviation.This review summarizes recent advances in moist wound dressing applications for chronic wound management,aiming to provide references for clinical practice.
