Abstract:Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of children's cough granules combined with Western medicine in the treatment of infectious cough in children. Methods:A total of 200 children with cough after infection admitted to the Pediatrics Department of Jiaozuo People's Hospital from October 2021 to July 2022 were divided into two groups according to random number table method, with 100 cases in each group. The control group was given ambroxol and interferon α 2b,conventional treatments such as cefuroxime were used, while the treatment group was treated with children's cough granules in addition to the control group. The clinical efficacy, cough disappearance time, cough symptom score, and serum inflammatory index were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than the control group(P < 0.05),the disappearance time of cough in the treatment group was shorter than the control group(P < 0.05),the daytime cough score, nighttime cough score, white blood cell count,C-reactive protein level in both groups were lower than before treatment(P < 0.05),and the treatment group were lower than the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusions:Children's cough granules can improve clinical efficacy, cough symptoms, accelerate the disappearance of cough, and reduce the serum inflammatory levels in the treatment of infectious cough in children, which is worthy of promotion.
