Analysis of life quality and spiritual emotion of patients with autoimmune hepatitis

Abstract:Objective:To investigate and analyze the life quality and the spiritual emotion of patients with autoimmune hepatitis.Methods:Sixty patients with autoimmune hepatitis (AutH group) admitted in the First Hospital of Changsha city from Jul.2014 to Jul.2015 were involved in present study.Meantime the other 60 patients with alcoholic hepatitis admitted at the same period were selected as control group (AlcH group).The life quality of the two groups was assessed by comprehensive questionnaire of life quality,and the emotional states of anxiety and depression were assessed by self-rating anxiety scale and self-rating depression scale.The data obtained were compared with that in normal health controls.Results:The total scores of life quality questionnaire,and the scores of physical function,psychological function,social function and material life were significantly lower in patients of AutH group than in of AlcH group,while the scores of anxiety and depression were significantly higher in patients of AutH group than in of AlcH group and of normal health controls (P<0.05),and the proportion of patients meeting the criteria of anxiety or depression was also higher in patients of AutH group than in of AlcH group (P<0.01).The life quality in patients of AutH group was negatively related to anxiety and depression with statistical significance (P<0.01).Conclusions:Poor life quality exists in patients with autoimmune hepatitis and is affected by the emotion of anxiety and depression.So attention should be paid to adjust the psychological status of patients and improve their life quality.
