Abstract:[Objective]Remote sensing(RS)has advantage of large-scale coverage, rapid acquisition and multi-dimensional data support. It has been widely used in construction of high-standard farmland(HSF)and become an indispensable tool for optimizing HSF planning and management. This paper reviews the application of RS in HSF construction, its advantages and limitations, and its future development.[Method]Our analysis was based on application of RS in both Chian and worldwide;it covers technical reports, policy documents related to RS applications in HSF construction.[Result]The application of RS in HSF construction involve three stages. In planning and design stage, integrating multi-source RS data helps select HSF site, optimize layout of irrigation and drainage system, road networks, and other key infrastructures. In construction stage,RS can establish a three-tier dynamic monitoring system to realize full-element,real-time tracking of the construction progress and quality. In monitoring and evaluation stage,RS can monitor and assess soil quality, production capacity, and ecological benefits of HSF.[Conclusion]Despite its advantages,RS still faces challenges in HSF applications. The bottlenecks are multi-source data fusion and its efficient processing, and the difficulties in improving accuracy and credibility of intelligent interpretation of HSF-related information.Future efforts should focus on strengthening technological innovation and management improvement.
