Abstract:The dynamic response of total agricultural water use amount and water use structure in an area plays an important role in regulating agriculture and agricultural water-use structure.Based on water footprint theory,we established the impulse response function as well as the solution of its variance using the VAR(2)model.We also analyzed the responsive relationship between the change in agricultural water footprint and its compositionsfrom 1997 to 2014.The results showed that the footprints of agricultural green, blue and gray waters all increased. The increase was fastest from 1997 to 2009,before increasing steadily from 2009 to 2014.There was no conflict between water footprints for agriculture and for fishery, and the two footprints were negative correlated. The factors that affected agricultural water footprints in Jinan were in the order of plantation water footprint, animal husbandry water footprint, forestry water footprint and fishery water footprint. In summary,a sustainable use of agricultural water resources is only achievable by rationally reducing high water-consuming crop areas and animal husbandry, increasing fishery production, making long-term agricultural water use plan, and further optimizing agricultural water-use structure.
