A Method of Measuring Salinity for High Saline Soil by Time Domain Reflectometry
Abstract：Experiments were carried out by using the time domain reflectometry(TDR100) to measure the bulk electrical conductivity of soil under different water contents and salinities. The electrical conductivity was compared with the measured result of Conductivity Meter and Drying method, which could find out the relationship among the factors. The results showed a significant linear relationship between the bulk electricity and the soil extract electrical conductivity. In accordance with the determination results, calibration formulas was taken out and the method of measuring salinity for high saline soil by TDR was proposed. The method can be used for soil salinity measurement in field experiment of Hetao irrigation district.
