Effects of Different Tillage on Soil Water Content of Summer Maize
Abstract:In the rain-fed areas of Henan Eastern Plain, the effect of different tillage methods on soil moisture regulation was studied. The experimental results showed that straw mulch tillage layer of the main root growth of summer maize role of the regulatory capacity of the soil moisture was more significant, continuing drought after a month(after seeding 30 days),and compared to deep plowing and subsoiling, average soil water content of this treatment in 0~60 cm soil profileincreased by 19.7%,4.5%,respectively.Summer maize dry matter accumulation and leaf area index were better than other two treatments, and yield and water use efficiency increased by 31.2% and 16% than deep plowing treatment.
