Effects of Irrigation Norm on Dry Matter Accumulation and Partition of Potted Cotton
Abstract:A pot trial was conducted to evaluate the effect of different irrigation quantity on cotton biomass, with transgenic insect-resistance hybrid cultivars Huazamian H318 as materials, and 5 irrigation rates(T1,T2,T3,T4,T5) were set up with reference to the natural evaporation. The results indicated that higher reproductive organs biomass and bolls per plant appeared to result from the more irrigation quantity. The cotton plant produced more dry weight of root and above-ground as irrigation rate increased. The ratio of fruiting node and leaf area was highest with T5,while the ratio of bolls and leaf area was highest with T1.The ratio of reproductive dry weight and leaf area decreased with the irrigation rate decrease. So the best irrigation rate was T3.
