Effects of Different Irrigation Minima on the Growth and Evapotranspiration of Chinese Cabbage in the Winter Heated Greenhouse
Abstract:The effects of different field water capacities(60%,70%,80%) on the root and shoot development, yield, quality, evapotranspiration per day were investigated in the heated greenhouse during the winter. The results showed that the greatest plant height, shoot extention, cabbage core diameter and root length density were obtained by 80% of field capacity, which resulted in the high ability of shoot and root development;the content of vitamin c decreased markedly by the treatment of 80% to 100%FC.Evaporation value was very high during the whole stage because of the heating in greenhouse. The volume of cabbage evapotranspiration by treatment of 80% was higher than the other two treatments with 6 to 9 percent at the enwrapping stage.Water use efficiency(WUE) of cabbage by treatment of 70%FC field was 79.90 kg/m3,the biggest among the three treatments.Based on the analysis of yield, quality and WUE,the best controlling range of field water capacities was 70% in the heated greenhouse during the winter.
