Effect of Irrigation Time on Physiological Status and Indoor Transpiration Environment of Greenhouse Tomato
Abstract:In order to determine the optimal irrigation program under greenhouse conditions,an experimental study on irrigation program of greenhouse tomato with different irrigation times was carried out in E-Zhou Water-saving Irrigation Experiment Station,Hubei province in China. The experiment set up three different irrigation treatments, standing for three different irrigation times respectively,to examine the growth status of greenhouse tomato’s stem diameter and the regulatory effects of each treatment on indoor transpiration environment. In the measurement,a phytomonitor for plants(No: LPS-05),including two groups of sensors: plant related sensors and environmental sensors, was used for a real-time monitoring.Out of the experiment come a fact that, the irrigations in early morning and night had a better regulation for indoor transpiration environment than the midday one;and the stem diameter growth rate of greenhouse tomato under three kinds of treatment had a descending order as follow: 08:30〉20:00〉11:30.Comprehensive test results indicated that the optimum irrigation time for greenhouse tomato should be early morning. The result can provide a reliable scientific basis for making irrigation program of main crops in greenhouse.
