Study on Conduit Optimization and Model Test for Vertical Pump System with Low Head
Abstract：In order to obtain the better hydraulic performance under the condition of low head, the optimal hydraulic designs and model tests were respectively conducted for inlet and outlet conduit of the pump systems. The research results indicate that the excellent hydraulic performance were obtained for the vertical pump systems of Changgou and Denglou pumping station under the condition of low head of less than 4 m. The efficieneies of the two pump systems reach 78% and the NPSHc are lower than 6 m at both design head and average head working points.
