Study on Hydraulic Residence Time through Tracer Experiment in the Pond Wetland

Abstract：A pond wetland,located in Group 2 of Shuangbei village in Zhanghe Irrigation System was selected for the study of HRT through Rhodamine tracer experiment.The Rhodamine concentration-time distribution showed the actual retention time (1.11 h) is much smaller than nominal detention time (32 h),and the actual flow pattern is between the plug flow and continuous stirred flow based on the characteristic value of hydraulic residence time distribution.The reasons for the smaller actual retention time have been analyzed through the residence time distribution function and dispersion coefficient.
