Errors with Utilizing Average ET0 Method in Crop Watersupply and demand Analysis

Abstract：Based on meteorological data of 48 years from three weather stations at different climatic ar-eas, the applicability and possible error extents of average ET0 method used in crop water supply anddemand analysis are discussed systematically in this paper. The results show that the effects of precip-itation variation are more greater than those of ET0 variation, but both still at the same level of pow-er. Therefore, average ET0 method is suitable under some conditions and in suitable ranges. There is,however, a significant possibility of resulting in great errors with the average ET0 method. So that,careful analysis and judgements are needed in utilizing the method.
