Abstract:Liver cancer is a common malignant tumor, and surgical resection remains the primary treatment for early-stage liver cancer.Central-type hepatocellular carcinoma, located near vital hepatic blood vessels and bile ducts, poses significant challenges for surgical resection due to its unique and complex anatomical position. However, with the advancement of laparoscopic technology and the continuous refinement of the concept of anatomical liver resection(ALR),resection of central-type hepatocellular carcinoma has become more precise and minimally invasive.Laparoscopic anatomical resection has evolved into a mainstream surgical approach. This article presents a comprehensive review of the surgical approaches for central liver cancer, including the operative techniques such as hepatic portal occlusion, control of central venous pressure, determination of resection margins, and auxiliary technologies like three-dimensional visualization, indocyanine green fluorescence imaging, and intraoperative ultrasound in the context of anatomical resection of central liver cancer.
