Visual analysis of 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine related research progress based on CiteSpace

Abstract：Objective To analyze the research status and hotspots of 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine(8-OHdG)using CiteSpace.Methods 8-OHdG-related literature between 1996 and 2022 was retrieved from CNKI database,and analyzed by visualization analysis with CiteSpace software.Results A total of 652 articles were included,of which oxidative stress,oxidative damage and reactive oxygen species were the research hotspots.8-OHdG was closely related to coronary heart disease,Alzheimer's disease,and diabetes.Conclusion 8-OHdG serves as a testing index in most of the current studies.The exogenous 8-OHdG is expected to treat oxidative damage-related diseases.
