Abstract:Objective To analyze the expression of PD-1 and PD-L1 in peripheral blood and placental tissues of patients with preeclampsia and their significance. Methods The expressions of PD-1 and PD-L1 on the surface of peripheral blood T lymphocytes and in placental tissues in 30 preeclampsia pregnant women(Observation Group,n=30)and 30 normal pregnant women(Control Group,n=30)were determined by flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry, and their correlation with the mean arterial pressure,24 h urine protein and other indicators of the pregnant women were analyzed. Results The expressions of PD-1 and PD-L1 on the surface of peripheral blood T lymphocytes and in placental tissues in the Observation Group were significantly lower than those in the Control Group(P<0.05).The expressions of PD-1 and PD-L1 in peripheral blood were positively correlated with those in placental tissue(r=0.432 and 0.377,P<0.05 for all). The expressions of PD-1 and PD-L1 were negatively correlated with mean arterial pressure and 24-hour urine protein of the pregnant women(P<0.05).Conclusion The expressions of PD-1 and PD-L1 in the peripheral blood of pregnant women with preeclampsia can reflect the expressions of PD-1 and PD-L1 in placenta tissues, and also reflect the severity of preeclampsia.
