Abstract：Objective：To investigate the monitoring value of the serum levels of TSGF in patients with nasopharygeal carcinoma（NPC） treated with radiotherapy．Methods：The serum levels of TSGF in 34 patients with NPC before and after radiotherapy were detected by TSGF diagnostic kits．Results：The serum levels of TSGF in patients were significantly higher than those of control group［（86．66±9．72）U／mL vs （59．65±6．2）U／mL，P＜0．001）］，and this elevation was simultaneously the development of disease．The serum TSGF concentrations decreased significantly after radiotherapy and recovered the normal levels in 8 weeks．Conclusions：The detection of the serum levels of TSGF could serve as an index for monitoring the change and progress of NPC．
