Research progress on comorbidity of asthma and cardiovascular disease

Abstract：Cardiovascular disease(CVD)is one of the major comorbidities of asthma,with a close bidirectional relationship between the two conditions.Asthma may serve as a risk factor for the development of CVD,while poorly con-trolled CVD can lead to more frequent asthma exacerbations.In recent years,increasing attention has been given to the mechanistic links between asthma and CVD,and considerable progress has been achieved.This review summarizes the latest advances in research on the comorbidity of asthma and CVD,aiming to provide new clinical perspectives for develo-ping individualized diagnostic and therapeutic approaches and improving patient outcomes.
