Abstract:Liposomal bupivacaine(LB)is a novel,long-acting local anesthetic that has attracted attention for its unique advantages in postoperative pain management.Compared with traditional bupivacaine,LB can provide continu-ous analgesia for up to 72 hours, reducing opioid consumption, which is particularly important for pediatric surgical pa-tients.With increasing concerns about opioid dependence and abuse, the use of LB in pediatric surgery has become a top-ic of interest. This article reviews recent literature on LB in pediatric surgery, analyzing its effects on pain control, opioid consumption, length of stay(LOS),safety, and adverse events, aiming to provide guidance for clinical application.
