Abstract:As a crucial component of perioperative analgesia.Nerve block plays a critical role in optimizing anal-gesic efficacy and reducing opioid consumption. There is a growing clinical demand for ultra-long-acting local anesthet-ics that offer both prolonged analgesic efficacy and a favorable safety profile.Liposomal bupivacaine(LB),a representa-tive of novel ultra-long-acting sustained-release local anesthetics, has been increasingly applied in perioperative nerve block due to its prolonged analgesic effect. This review summarizes the pharmacological characteristics, current clinical applications, and recent advances of LB in nerve block, aiming to provide a reference for clinical practice.
